About Us

Hi there! I’m Lindsey, the “L” in LACE Roots Designs, and I’m so excited to share a little about our family and how this dream came to be. My husband Cory and I married in 2008 — he’s an automotive engineer, and I’m a marketing and fundraising professional. When the economy took a downturn that same year, we rolled up our sleeves and learned to do things ourselves. Our very first home was a foreclosure, and it sparked our love for fixer-uppers. Out of the four houses we’ve owned, three have been renovation adventures!

We’ve now been in our current home for over eight years, slowly shaping it into something that feels perfectly “us.” Along the way, we’ve passed that creative, can-do spirit down to our kids, Amy and Ethan.

The spark for LACE Roots Designs actually came from Amy in the fall of 2024. While she was attending online school, one of her beloved chickens kept tapping at the window wanting to come inside. I joked that it needed a diaper — and before I knew it, Amy had designed one herself! That moment of laughter and creativity turned into an idea: to take our shared love of designing and build something together as a family.

Today, LACE Roots Designs is where that idea continues to grow. We’re starting with custom dance costumes and clothing, and we can’t wait to expand our creative offerings as new ideas — and customer requests — come our way.
